Josey’s Tax Services and Preparation is owned and operated by John A. Josey. I retired from the State of California in August of 2022. I spent almost 22 years employed with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. After retirement, I decided to become a licensed tax professional for the residents of our local area. We have a high demand for low-cost tax preparers in the area. I did not get into this business to get rich. My goal is to provide a service to my community. I am also not out to steal clients from other tax preparers in my area. If you are happy with your current tax preparer, Great. If you are new to the area. Or if you would like to make a change from your current provider, please consider me. Our Mission
To provide accurate, low-cost tax returns to the residents of Del Norte County. My business will include the ability to be mobile. I will offer a tax return to the location that you desire, within a 30-mile radius of Crescent City, California. I will be willing to do your taxes on-site at your residence or pick up your paperwork and drop your tax return off when it is complete. All tax returns will be E-Filed at no additional cost. All signatures will be electronically processed through DocuSign.
